Brocade Papillon, Men and Women

Brocade is a very heavy and solid fabric in which gold or silver threads have been woven. Brocade fabric is known for its intricately woven, beautiful patterns, which are usually woven in the satin weave. Cotton, silk or viscose filament yarn (also known as rayon, rayon or rayon) is often used in the manufacture. Brocades used to be a privilege of noblemen and even today brocade is very precious because of its precious raw materials. But often also mixed fabrics are made, which are decorated only with shiny metal threads and thus much cheaper. Brocade fabric is often used as a cover for furniture, historical garments, decorative fabrics, shoes, bags or even wallpaper. Also known is mako brocade damask bedding from Damascus.
